The former Spain, Porto, Real Madrid and Sevilla coach will officially begin work on July 1 🗓️
Lopetegui, 57, has been without a club since he left Wolves before the end of last Premier League season. He is due to officially begin his role with the Hammers on July 1, succeeding Moyes, who departed at the end of last season.
Lopetegui expressed his enthusiasm for the challenge ahead. “We came here with ideas and thoughts to make noise. That is why we are here. And we are excited about this challenge. Of course we will go” to do our best to help the club and team reach their best level and achieve our goals. And I emphasize, “To the fans, they are essential to all of our success.”
West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan stressed that Lopetegui’s appointment is a great opportunity to continue the positive progress achieved in recent seasons. The Hammers finished 9th in the Premier League during the 2023/24 season.
